The beating lifeblood of our coven is the worship and veneration of the Dark Mother, an all inclusive and encompassing fearsome and benevolent archetype of the dark feminine archetype. The Blackthorn Tradition is non-denominational and we do not have a specific deity that we exalt above all others, but we may invoke and call upon the sacred archetypal Goddesses as they have been interpreted throughout mythology to achieve certain means and explore specific lessons, such as working with Primal Beings such as Lilith, Hecate, Persephone, and more... 

However, the true divine lies within you. No gods are required, and no masters are recognized. You are the sovereign being at the heart of your own magick.

A Coven for All Witches

We acknowledge and honor the diverse facets of the divine feminine, and with open arms, we welcome our trans, queer, non-binary community into the coven with the understanding that this is a hyper-feminine space, and this intent will be strictly enforced, at all times. Masculine identifying and non-binary witches are more than welcome to join the coven, as long as they fully understand that this coven is structured around the divine feminine, and that the sacred masculine will not be honored in a ritualistic or magickal way. That doesn't mean we don't honor YOU, but we politely request that all masculine identifying and non-binary witches who join be ready and comfortable to be in an exclusively feminine space.
